Literary Cleveland Presents:    Write Now – Nonfiction Writing Workshop

Literary Cleveland Presents:   Write Now – Nonfiction Writing Workshop

Participants will generate new writing in this free four-week practical workshop designed to kick their writing into gear. Each week, they will explore a different form of creative nonfiction essay: personal essay, braided essay, fragmented essay, and hermit crab essay. Throughout the class, the participants will discuss craft, find inspiration in short readings, write in-class, share their writing, and give each other feedback. Together, they will find what sparks their own process. Christopher Johnston has published more than 3,500 articles in publications including American Theatre, Christian Science Monitor, History Magazine, and Scientific American. He teaches playwriting and creative nonfiction workshop courses at Cleveland State University and writing workshops for Literary Cleveland and the William N. Skirball Writers Center.  Registration is required and begins on May 1, 2024.
