For Students in Sixth through Twelfth Grade

Mondays from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

The Girls Who Code Club will continue this winter, 2022! Using Zoom, the first two one hour sessions on January 3, 2022 and January 10, 2022 will focus on the Turtle Library in Python. Beginning on January 17, 2022 we will meet  in-person each week in the Learning Lab at the Lakewood Public Library Main Library for more Python, some Micro Bits, more Scratch, some HTML/CSS and we'll create something awesome. Develop leadership skills, confidence and learn to succeed as a team. An email with a Zoom link will be sent to all registrants the day before the virtual sessions. Registration is required. Register once  for all events. This is a twelve-week program and participants should commit to attending all twelve sessions. The  schedule is as follows:

Virtual Sessions: 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

• January 3: Snowflakes in Python with the Turtle Library
• January 10: Kaleidosscope Art in Python with the Turtle Library

In-Person Sessions: 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

• January 17: Intro to Micro Bits
• January 24: More Fun with Micro Bits
• January 31: Members Choice (Micro Bits, Raspberry Pi, Circuit Playground)
• February 7: HTML/CSS Intro
• February 14: HTML/CSS Site Creation
• February 21: TinkerCad
• February 28: Members Choice
• March 7: Python/Scratch Mad Libs or Laughable Limericks
• March 14: Python Password Generator
• March 21: Members Choice and Presentation Prep
• March 28: Presentation/Celebration
